Since its inception in May 2015, POB Trust Eye hospital has come a long way and made a huge impact. It is now a well known and respectable welfare unit with high quality services without any discrimination of color, race or wealth. The purpose built facility is equipped with the most sophisticated diagnostic and surgical equipment and all these we owe to the courtesy and donation of our well wishers. It had been our dream to build centers in all major districts of Karachi to cater for eye care near the homes of the patients. Alhumdulillah in this aspect we now have a facility at Dhoraji, where we are working in coordination with the Adamjee foundation. It is a fully functional unit catering for outpatient and surgery. The third facility has been started at Hussainabad where there is a secondary care unit catering for about 200 patients per day and about 450 surgeries monthly. The Fourth unit is under construction at Surjani town, Muhammad Rafiq Unit and is almost near completion. Hopefully in six months time, we should be able to start seeing patients there. In Orangi town we have acquired land of 800 sq yards to build a hospital there In Sha Allah coming year, we will have another hospital, so this brings our dream to almost completion where we would have centers in all major districts of Karachi to cater for the needs so we have secondary centers in all districts and a primary center here at our primary facility. Hopefully, In Sha Allah with the cooperation of all our worthy donors, we would be able to complete all these facilities and upgrade them in the future.
POB Trust Eye Hospital Karachi, a project of the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA), is dedicated to bringing the gift of sight to those in need. Since 2015, POB Eye Hospital Karachi has grown from a basic eye care facility to a tertiary eye care centre, setting new standards for charitable hospitals in Pakistan. Beyond our flagship Karachi hospital, we are also expanding this great cause in Lahore and Peshawar. Our Mission is to eradicate preventable blindness and improve the lives of visually impaired individuals, regardless of their background. We have successfully operated 196,000 cataract surgeries within and outside Pakistan, additionally, we organise free cataract eye surgery camps in remote areas of Pakistan to assist the needy. We utilise state-of-the-art equipment including

● Comprehensive diagnostic facilities equipped with B-Scan, OCT, OCT+A, FFA, Perimetry, Specular Microscopy, and Fundus Camera for in-depth evaluation.
With the unwavering support of our donors and expert team of eye specialists, POB Eye Hospital has treated 567,501 patients through OPD, and over 85,847 individuals have regained their sight through life-changing surgeries.
